This information is a direct quote from an email posted in January, 2005 from the Chamber of Commerce office in Newport, Oregon.

 

As far as any of us in the office know there are no laws prohibiting using your metal detector.  The only thing would be on private property, and of course are beaches are all open *so that wouldn't be  an obstacle.
